The Rajasthani Cultural Society of Canada is a non-profit organization incorporated on January 27, 2020, under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, based in Brampton, Ontario, at 270 Orenda Road, Unit 200. Established to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan, the society serves as a platform for Indo-Canadians of Rajasthani descent and others interested in Rajasthani traditions. The organization aims to unite Rajasthanis in Canada while integrating new immigrants into mainstream Canadian society, emphasizing cultural preservation and community support.
The society organizes a variety of cultural, social, and educational activities to achieve its mission. These include hosting traditional Rajasthani festivals, cultural events, and recreational programs to showcase Rajasthan’s vibrant heritage, such as music, dance, and literature. It promotes Rajasthani language classes for children and adults, encouraging linguistic preservation. Additionally, the society collaborates with other cultural and multicultural organizations in Canada to foster social cohesion and supports charitable initiatives, including fundraising for education, healthcare, and social welfare. Events like the annual family picnic highlight its commitment to building a strong, connected community while celebrating Rajasthani values and traditions.
The Excellent Academy, established in 2010, is a premier educational center based in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, with a recent expansion to Cornwall, Ontario. Located at Boul. Harwood in Vaudreuil and Pitt Street in Cornwall, the academy is dedicated to unlocking the potential of young learners through innovative and holistic educational programs. Its flagship offering, the UCMAS abacus mental math program, utilizes tactile learning to stimulate cognitive development by teaching children to use six fingers on the abacus, enhancing mental arithmetic skills through visualization. The academy’s state-of-the-art facilities and commitment to fostering a nurturing environment aim to build confidence, cognitive abilities, and academic excellence in children.

The Mississauga Food Bank, officially known as Food Banks Mississauga, is the leading food security organization in Mississauga, Ontario, dedicated to alleviating food insecurity among residents. Founded in 1986, it serves as a central hub that collects, organizes, and distributes food to over 60 agency members, including neighborhood food banks, pantries, cupboards, and meal and snack programs. With a mission to ensure no one in Mississauga goes hungry, the organization supports a diverse range of clients, including full-time workers (27%) and those in unsubsidized housing (76%), addressing the growing food insecurity crisis in the region, where 1 in 13 residents (over 56,000 people) relied on its services in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
